Hearts and Hooves Journey

Welcome to Hearts and Hooves — an initiative proudly launched by the equestrian captains of Geelong Grammar School, representing the wider equestrian team. We believe that true horsemanship means embracing the sport in its entirety: not just in the competition arena, but in the care, love, and respect we give to our horses.

At school, our horses are well looked after, nurtured by passionate students and staff. But we know this is not the reality for all horses in Australia. Every year, too many horses are neglected, abandoned, or mistreated, and we believe it’s time to act…​

In collaboration with Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary, a safe haven for over 70 rescued ponies and horses, and other rehabilitation farms, we proudly support the mission of ethical and sustainable equine rescue, working together to restore both the physical and emotional well-being of ponies and horses.
